Micah 6:9-16

In Micah 6:9–16, the Lord speaks as Judge, declaring His verdict against Jerusalem for persistent injustice, deceit, and covenant unfaithfulness. This sermon confronts the reality that God’s standard is perfection and that no sinner can stand acquitted on their own merits. The passage exposes the danger of self-justification and false confidence while pointing unmistakably to the need for repentance. Ultimately, this text leads us to the gospel, where Jesus Christ bears the punishment sinners deserve so that forgiveness may be granted through His atoning work.
