Micah 6:1-8

In The Lord v. Israel (Micah 6:1–8), God brings His people into His courtroom. He reminds Israel of His covenant faithfulness and exposes their failure to live as His redeemed people. The Lord rejects empty religion and declares what He truly requires: justice, kindness, and humble obedience. This passage confronts every hearer with a verdict of guilt—and then points to the mercy found only in Christ, who bore our sentence so that sinners could be forgiven.
