Micah 1:10–16 leads us through Judah’s cities as God announces certain judgment, using poetic wordplay and historical references to make His warning unmistakable. The prophet calls the people to lament, reminding them that judgment comes not by accident, but by the purposeful hand of a faithful God who keeps His covenant promises. Yet in the midst of mourning, Micah points ahead to the hope of a coming King — the promised Son of David who would arise in Bethlehem. God's people must face the reality of sin, but also cling to His sure promise of redemption.
